The word overdose tends to have obvious negative connotations. So why are we pairing it with the wonderful word running? Wouldn’t many people want to run more?

Without a doubt, running is an amazing activity. For us, it’s about testing our limits on miles of road and trail, having great experiences with other driven, quasi-crazy people, and having an excuse to wear spandex. (Only half-serious.) More than anything, (totally serious now) we are near-overdosing on running because it is an awesome journey of self-transformation, both physically and mentally.

While a devotion to running sounds like a great thing, both of us could benefit by spreading the same passionate, goal-oriented approach to other areas of our lives, and giving some of that love to other people! Through weekly challenges on this blog, we are taking the first steps to finding balance for ourselves and others.

As our follower, dear reader, you are committing to watching us evolve, for better or for worse. Maybe Alicia will one day wear too-dark clothing while running at night, and get hit, in which case this blog will take on a new theme about challenges while running! (Or dreams about running!) Or, maybe Kristin makes the 2016 Olympics, and this blog will probably want to talk about that! Either way, whether we get hit by a car, make the Olympics, or just have tons of great experiences, we will always want to keep running.

While we will never love running less, we will have a reminder to love everything else more. Gotta go for a run,

Alicia & Kristin
